Ribbons come in wax, wax/resin and full resin combinations depending on your requirements of the label.

Wax: Economical ribbons predominately used for general purpose labeling producing clear dark images for applications where limited scratch, smudge, heat and chemical resistance is required. Suitable for uncoated and coated papers and some synthetics.

Wax/Resin: The most versatile ribbons suitable for a wide range of label substrates including coated paper, tag stock and films. Providing more durability for scratch, smudge, heat and chemical resistance than wax ribbons. Most commonly chosen ribbon.

Full Resin: Resins are harder than wax and wax resin combination ribbons thereby achieving superior durability including high temperature and chemical resistance. Particularly suited to synthetic stocks.
